Our Journey
I’ve been doing this campervanning lark since before Instagram made it fashionable. Back when “going wild” didn’t mean
neon face paint and a Bluetooth speaker—it meant freezing your backside off in a lake somewhere in Scotland
and pretending you were Bear Grylls before Bear Grylls was even born.
From a young age, I had a gift: not for algebra or behaving myself in class, but for making things. Proper, usable, “this-isn’t-going-to-fall-apart-in-a-
week” sort of things. At infant school, while other kids were making glitter bombs and misshaped ashtrays for Father’s Day, I made an actual mug.
One that held water. And hot tea. Without leaking. I should’ve been knighted there and then, instead of placed on the table of pain.
Fast forward a bit and I was building furniture so good, the legendary Mouseman crew handpicked me from a sea of applicants to join them.
Me a teenager. Working on handcrafted furniture that still exists today—and hasn’t
collapsed. Unlike my patience for badly designed campervans.
Then came the downhill mountain biking phase. And yes, I turned it into a semi-professional career ish . There was sponsorship, there were trophies,
and more importantly—there was a campervan. Not a fancy one. No. This thing was about as luxurious as a wheelie bin with windows.
So I made a list. A simple list. Of all the things I wanted in my race van—things every other company told me were “impossible” or “not a thing.”
Wrong answers, all of them. Then, while mooching around the NEC show, a rep spotted me and said something that would change everything:
“Build your own.”
So I did.
Back before YouTube tutorials, Reddit threads, and TikTok hacks, I was in my joinery workshop with a box of tools, a pile of wood, and the electrical
skills of man with a toaster in the bath,
Thankfully, I had help from an actual Olympic WorldSkills winner in electrical engineering (seriously), and together we
Frankensteined a van so clever, it made most of the stuff on the market look like a toddler’s LEGO project.
Since then, I’ve invented over 20 products / methods that make campervans more efficient, more liveable, and way less crap. I’ve supplied
countless businesses, had companies stick their own badge on my gear, and now—finally—I sell direct to people like you. Why? Because freedom and
adventure shouldn’t start when you retire. It should start now.
So stop waiting for the right time.
Get a van, get out there, and live !
